The world’s tallest adventure rope park Landmark Alpha, Guangzhou, China

In January 2021, Landmark Alpha, the world’s tallest rope adventure park, opened in Guangzhou, China, located atop the 600-meter Cantonese Television Tower. Its construction took more than a year and 16.6 million US dollars.

Canton Tower entertainment center offers the following entertainment:

Rope park routes and attractions

In total, Landmark Alpha has 37 different stages divided into three main routes of varying difficulty:

The red route for experienced extremes, located at an altitude of 298 meters, includes obstacles such as “Mushroom Bridge”, “Island Bridge”, “Tibet Bridge”, “Hanging Stairs”, “Walking Net” and “Log Bridge”.
The medium blue route, located at an altitude of 201 meters, includes easier obstacles such as the Canton Tower Bridge, The Wave, Giant Nunchucks, China Bridge and Wing Chun Bridge.
The green course, the easiest, is available for children from eight years of age and is located at a height of 183.6 meters and includes various games and attractions such as the Laser Gun, the Planetary Bridge and the Hanging Log Bridge. The cost of visiting the Landmark Alpha Adventure Park is up to RMB 688 (US$108).

Separately, you can highlight a walk around the perimeter of the Skywalk tower at a height of 325 meters, the length of the parapet is 90 meters, during the entire walk you can enjoy a gorgeous panoramic view of the entire city. There are two balconies for selfies on the parapet.

Aerial tram

There is also an “aerial tram” attraction at Guangzhou’s Canton TV Tower. It is open booths moving in a circle along the perimeter of the tower at a height of about 488 meters. This attraction allows visitors to enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the city.

Interesting facts about the Canton Tower:

The tower is built in the form of a combination of a hyperboloid load-bearing mesh shell and a central core. The hyperboloid structure of the mesh shell of the Guangzhou TV tower corresponds to the 1899 patent of the engineer V. G. Shukhov. The structure itself is identical to the Adzhigol lighthouse in Ukraine.
The 600-meter-tall Guangzhou Observation Tower is the second tallest TV tower in the world.
The tower is decorated with 7,000 LEDs, creating fantastic lighting effects that can be seen for miles.
Inside the tower, at a height of 424 meters, there is a revolving gourmet restaurant for 400 guests.
The observation deck at a height of 450 meters offers a fascinating panorama of the city.
The tower was built in 2009 and opened to the public during the Asian Games in 2010, becoming one of the main attractions of the city.
